Entertainment Report :
New Year is new enthusiasm. Leaving the old behind, everyone’s heart is filled with dreams of the new. Everyone is convinced that they should cleanse themselves with a fire bath to overcome fever and illness.
Along with that, the excitement of eating and drinking on this day wears off.
Like ten other Bengalis, Jaya Ahsan likes to celebrate New Year’s day in a special way.
This time Jaya was in the country for the Bengali New Year. So, she didn’t waste the opportunity to celebrate in style. And she spoke a little about
all this to the Indian media.
According to Jaya, her celebration had already begun. For the past two days, there has been a feast at her house. And all of this happened on the occasion of Boishakhi celebrations.
Jaya told this correspondent, “On April 13 (Sunday), I went to a Chaitra Sankranti event. It was organised by the team that released my web series ‘Jimmi’ amidst all this commotion. The event was at 7:00pm. Then, from 12:00pm, there was an Alpana painting event at Shahabuddin Park in Gulshan. I was there. There were various cultural programmes there, including ‘Joler Gaan’, various Bengali band music, and Baul songs.
I was there. Because, I think this kind of event should be held more often. Because, this is not a religious event. Bengali culture should be spread
more like this. So I was there.”
Fairs have been organised on New Year’s Day for ages. However, from the bustling urban fairs, people also attend the Boisakhi fairs in the villages.
While talking in this regard, “I think that such events should be spread more to remote villages and towns. On the morning of April 14, I went to the Rupganj fair in Narayanganj. I attended the Hilsa-Panta festival there.”
Not only is she moving around, she also said that this actress is dipping her wrists in water. Jaya said, “The feasting has been going on for several days. The New Year celebrations have been going on for about four to five days. I cooked it myself. The menu included Hilsa fish tail stew, red rice stew, Hilsa fish, coconut filling, dried fruit filling, and lentils, and handmade Rosogolla.”
Regarding the New Year’s celebration meal arrangements, Jaya Ahsan said, “During the New Year, there will be panta rice, and it is made with dried chilies and onions. That is the specialty (laughs). There is also a two-panta rice. There is also Panta-curd rice. The dishes I cook on special days.” Needless to say, A few days ago, the web series ‘Jimmi’ starring Jaya was released on Hoi Choi. The audience really liked Jaya’s (Runa Laila) character in the web series.
