BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Monday said recent incidents in the hill tracts have created anxiety among the people.
“We are noticing agitation in the garments sector as well. These are not isolated events – the same vested group is instigating them,” he told reporters at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan.
Rizvi warned, “We must all stand united, shoulder to shoulder, against any anti-national conspiracy or sinister blueprint. Such designs must be resisted and completely foiled.”
He added, “Bangladesh is a peace-loving nation that believes in coexistence. But with a population of 18 crore, will the people of this country remain silent if anyone casts an evil eye on us or harbors ill intentions? Absolutely not.”
The BNP leader further said, “Speculation about possible aggression or conflict from a neighboring country gives rise to suspicion that a larger game plan is at play. People are questioning this. That’s why we must stay vigilant, aware, and determined. No plot or agenda against Bangladesh will be allowed to succeed.”
