A primary school headmaster held a press conference with a warranted accused in an
explosives case in Lohagara, Chittagong. The incident took place on Saturday (August 23) afternoon in the old police station area of ​​Ward No. 2 of Sadar Union of the upazila. This has started a commotion in the area.

It is learned that SM Chishti, the accused in the July mass uprising attack case,
organized the press conference (August 23). Nasir Uddin, the headmaster of
Bhabanipur Government Primary School in the upazila, was present there. Thus, a
government employee being present at a press conference with a warranted accused
has created a sensation in the area.

According to police sources, the accused S.M. Chishti, whose name is in the complaint
of case No. 03(10)24 filed at Lohagara Police Station, has been a fugitive for a long
time. He has not yet been granted bail from any court. He is also mentioned as a
“fugitive accused” in the police records.

When an attempt was made to contact the headmaster, Master Nasir Uddin, in this
regard, he said that he admitted to the warrant and said that since he is innocent, there
is no bail and that it is a matter for the police to understand. And he has been involved
in sports for a long time and he was not involved in any politics.

Lohagara Primary Education Officer Mohammad Ibne Masud Rana said, I do not know
about this incident, I will take necessary action after knowing.
