The High Court (HC) has suspended the recruitment of 3,534 junior instructors (technical) and physical education instructors (grade 10) for various polytechnic institutes, technical schools and colleges under the Technical Education Board. The court also issued a rule regarding their appointments.
The order was issued on Monday (January 27) by a High Court bench led by Justice Akram Hossain Chowdhury.
Barrister Kaiser Kamal, representing the petitioners, was assisted by Advocate Maksud Ullah during the hearing.
Barrister Kaiser Kamal said, “The 3,534 candidates were scheduled to join their jobs on January 29. However, the High Court’s suspension order prevents them from joining jobs.”
The suspension followed a petition filed by 18 candidates who were allegedly deprived of the recruitment. The petition cited irregularities in the recruitment process, including accusations of fraud and question leaks, reportedly orchestrated by a group led by an individual named Abed Ali.
