At a press conference held at the National Press Club on February 14, it was said that more than 1 million illegal foreign workers are working in different workplaces in Bangladesh.

As a result, the citizens of this country are being deprived of the right to be appointed according to their qualifications. An organization called “Oboidho Bideshi Khedao Andolon” presented that information.

Barrister M Sarwar Hossain, general secretary of the organization and a Supreme Court lawyer, said it is a constitutional right to be appointed according to one’s merit.

But in the last decade and a half, the problem of unemployment in Bangladesh has become extreme. The unemployment rate in the country is currently 12%, which is the highest ever.
