Sheikh Kabir Hossain, uncle of the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has quietly left the country.
On Sunday morning, he departed for Singapore on a flight from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Multiple responsible sources from the immigration police and law enforcement agencies confirmed his departure on Monday morning.
Sheikh Kabir Hossain faces allegations of money laundering, abuse of power, and occupying high-level government positions without due process.
During Sheikh Hasina’s tenure, he wielded significant influence across various sectors, including the financial sector.
Reports indicate that he held top-level positions in at least 23 organizations, institutions, and agencies while the Awami League was in power.
