NN ONLINE:

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged today that deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s loyalists remain embedded in the state administration and are positioning themselves across multiple bureaucratic sectors with the aim of sabotaging the interim government and preventing a free and fair election.

He warned that they are prepared to create a premeditated state of unrest to ensure the interim chief adviser, Muhammad Yunus, cannot conduct a credible vote. Rizvi also claimed that certain leaders and officials responsible for past violence to sustain Hasina’s hold have received a green light to facilitate safe exit routes, including instructions to the passport department. He cautioned that those accused of crimes should not receive such signals, arguing that embedded actors are pursuing Hasina’s broader political agenda.

Despite these claims, Rizvi expressed confidence that the conspiracies would fail, reaffirming a commitment to democracy, rule of law, and a truly independent Bangladesh. He noted that laws may be amended under the Constitution, but nothing can legitimize actions outside the constitutional framework.

Rizvi spoke at a BNP event in Brahmanbaria, flanked by party colleagues including Khaled Hossain Mahbub Shyamal, Zahirul Haque Khokon, ABM Mominul Haque, and Sirajul Islam.
