Hasan Jabed, Mission elected to lead law reporters forum.

Hasan Jabed, Special Correspondent at NTV, has been elected President of the Law Reporters Forum (LRF), the professional association of journalists specializing in legal, judicial, and human rights affairs.
Moneruzzaman Mission, Senior Reporter at the English-language daily New Age, has been chosen as General Secretary. Meanwhile, SM Noor Mohammad from Ajker Patrika has been elected as the Organizing Secretary.
The results of the LRF executive committee election for the 2025–2026 term were officially announced today by senior journalist Swapan Das Gupta, who served as the Chief Election Commissioner. The election was held following the organization’s Annual General Meeting at the South Hall of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Commission members Shahiduzzaman and Tofayel Hossain, both veteran journalists, were also present at the announcement.
Other members elected to the new executive committee include:
Vice President: Ahmed Sarwar Hossain Bhuiyan (Banglavision)
Joint Secretary: Arafat Munna (Bangladesh Pratidin)
Treasurer: Monzur Hossain (Channel 24)
Publicity and Publication Secretary: Jabed Akhtar (ATN News)
Training and Welfare Secretary: Jannatul Ferdous Tanvi (BBC Bangla)

The event was graced by the presence of Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Ashim, BNP’s International Affairs Secretary. Also in attendance were former LRF presidents Salehuddin, Ashutosh Sarkar, Mashhudul Haque, Shamima Akter, and senior member Kazi Abdul Hannan, alongside other past and present committee members and general forum members.
The Law Reporters Forum plays a key role in promoting responsible journalism in the legal domain and in fostering professional unity among court correspondents in Bangladesh.
