Harmony among different Ramgarh communities during Durga festival

In the border town of Ramgarh, the people of Santan religion from both the Bengali and tribal community are celebrating the Sharadiya Durga festival with great enthusiasm.
Sharadiya Durgo has been held centrally in the upazila’s only Puja Mandap at Sri Sri Dakshineswari Kalibari, the main religious place of worship of the Hindu community on the outskirts of Ramgarh town.
Tribes-Bengali people of all religions and communities participate in this festival.
With the participation of all, this festival becomes a gathering of communal harmony. Like every year, a fair is held in the area adjacent to Kalibari on the occasion of Durga festival .
Traders from far and wide have put various products in the fair. The shopping spree is going on. Flawless security measures have been taken administratively to celebrate the Durgo Festival joyfully. The entire Kalibari has been kept under the control of CC TV. Besides BGB, Police, Ansar, VDP, many volunteers are also engaged. Dakshineshwari Kalibari’s General Secretary Subhashish Das said, “Everyone here is celebrating DurgaFestival happily.” This time the crowd is also very large. Local administration, political leaders are all by our side with sincere cooperation. We are never worried about security, this time too.
Ramgarh Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mamata Afrin said that police, BGB and law enforcement agencies are engaged round the clock for overall security.

Meanwhile, Khagrachari Deputy Commissioner Md. Sahiduzzaman, Superintendent of Police Md. Arefin Jewel, 43 BGB Commander Lt. Col. Syed Imam Hossain visited the pujamandap of Dakshineshwari Kalibari on Saturday and extended sharadiya greetings to the Sanatan religious people. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mamata Afrin, Additional Superintendent of Police Khagrachari Mahmuda Begum, Additional Superintendent of Police Ramgarh Circle Md. Nazim Uddin, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ismat Jahan Tuhin, Upazila BNP President Hafez Ahmed Bhuiyan, General Secretary Md. Jasim Uddin, Sri Sri Dakshineshwari Kalibari Committee Advisor Badal Chakraborty, Kamal Majumdar, General Secretary Subhashish Dash, Acting President Anand Mohan Tripura and others were present.
