Hajj flight from Chittagong began yesterday early morning. The flight will depart from Shah Amanat International Airport for Madinah at 3:50am today.
398 pilgrims will go to Medina on the first flight.
City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowodhury felicitated the intending pilgrims at the Chattoagram Airport early morning.
It is known that 22 flights will go directly to Saudi Arabia from Chattogram for Hajj pilgrims this year under the management of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Out of this, 20 flights will go directly to Jeddah; two flights will go to Madinah.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines Chattogram district manager Shahadat Hossain said that the first flight of Bangladesh Biman Boeing 717 takes off from Shah Amanat International Airport.
