As the world is criticising the Israeli aggression in Gaza, the popular American hard rock band Guns N’ Roses has expressed solidarity with the Palestinians.
At a recent concert in Colombia, the band’s lead singer Axl Rose held up a Palestinian flag and delivered an anti-war message, which has earned the band a lot of love from fans.
Numerous artists from the world’s cultural scene have spoken out against the ongoing humanitarian disaster and Israeli aggression in Gaza.
More than a thousand international artists have already sent their solidarity and humanitarian messages to the Palestinians. At a time when the world-famous band ‘Guns N’ Roses’ has joined that list.
The band had a concert at the Estadio El Campin stadium in Bogota, Colombia, on the night of October 7. During this concert, lead singer Axl Rose took to the stage to raise the Palestinian flag in solidarity with the end of the war in Gaza.
Axl Rose made the symbolic protest during a performance of the band’s classic anti-war song ‘Civil War.’
World-renowned guitarist Slash was also seen performing on stage. At one point during the song, he took a Palestinian flag from an audience member and held it up in front of everyone on stage.
The flag read, “I DON’T NEED YOUR CIVIL WAR.” In a video that went viral on social media, Axl Rose wrapped the flag around his body after the song and waved in front of the audience.
It is reported that he also signed the flag and promised to return it to the audience.
The audience also responded warmly to the singer’s support, resulting in increased noise and cheering at the concert.
