The newly elected 12th Executive Committee of the GTCL Officers’ Welfare Association has assumed office in a grand ceremony held at the company’s head office in the capital on Sunday. In this event, the newly elected president Mohammad ShamsurRahman and general secretary Md. Moinul Islam, along with the executive members, were officially sworn in by Election Commissioner Eng. Md. Abdul Azim. Present at the time were the Chairman of the GTCL Board of Directors Mr. AHM Nurul Islam, and the Managing Director of GTCL Eng. Md. Anowarul Islam, along with senior officials and employees of all levels.
It is noted that the voting took place on February 26. In this election, the 12th Executive Committee of the GTCL Officers’ Welfare Association saw Sheikh NasimHossain elected as Vice President (1), Md. Yasin Ali as Vice President (2), MallikShakir-R-Rahi as Joint Secretary, Mohammad Zakirul Islam as Organizational Secretary, Jameul Islam as Finance Secretary, Md. YasinMirdha as Office Secretary, Md. Shafiqul Islam (Tushar) as Publicity and Publication Secretary, Md. AshrafulAlam as Sports and Cultural Secretary, and Md. Imtiaz Ahmed, Md. Nazmul Islam, Asaduzzaman, and Md. Yusuf Farhad elected as committee members.
