In a condolence message issued on Monday, Professor Yunus said, “I am deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic accident involving the F-7 BGI training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force, which crashed today on the Milestone School and College campus, resulting in loss of lives and injuries.”
Describing the incident as an irreparable tragedy, he noted that it has affected not only the Air Force but also the students, teachers, staff, parents, and the broader school community.
“This is a moment of profound national mourning,” he stated.
The Chief Adviser conveyed his wishes for the swift recovery of those injured and directed all concerned authorities-particularly medical services-to provide treatment with the highest level of care and urgency.
He also assured that the government would take all necessary steps to determine the cause of the crash and offer full support to those affected.
