Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) held its prestigious graduation ceremony at the university auditorium, marking a significant milestone for approximately 8,000 graduates.
The event, starting on Thursday was graced by the presence of University President Yang Canming as the chief guest, alongside deans from various schools within the university.
Among the graduates were six distinguished students from Bangladesh: Md. Shafiqul Islam, Kumar Debasis Dutta, Mallika Saha, Manjurul Alam, Rebeka Ahmed, and Farhana Alam. These students celebrated their academic achievements with their peers and faculty members. Notably, Md. Shafiqul Islam, Kumar Debasis Dutta, and Mallika Saha, who are faculty members at different public universities in Bangladesh, received Ph.D. degrees in finance. Md. Shafiqul Islam completed his degree in 2022, while Mallika Saha and Debasis Dutta earned theirs in 2021. The other three students, Manjurul Alam, Rebeka Ahmed, and Farhana Alam, received their degrees in 2024, with Manjurul and Rebeka obtaining Ph.D. degrees in law, and Farhana earning a master’s degree.
