Govt passes ordinance to curb money laundering

The interim government has passed the Bank Resolution Ordinance to establish full control over the banking sector and prevent the illegal transfer of money abroad.

The decision was made on Thursday (April 17) during a meeting of the Council of Advisers.

The information was shared by Adviser to the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Syeda Rizwana Hasan, at a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy.
