State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique called upon the government officials for working unitedly with utmost sincerity and dedication to ensure welfare of the people.
She said this on Thursday while addressing a views-sharing meeting with the filed level officials of Rangpur division under the Public Administration Ministry at the conference room of the Divisional Commissioner in Rangpur as the chief guest. Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Dilwar Bakht presided over the meeting participated by the Additional Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and district level high officials from all over Rangpur division.
Additional Divisional Commissioners Narayan Chandra Barma (General) and Kazi Hassan Ahmmed (Revenue) and Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Farid Ahammed also addressed the meeting. Earlier, the State Minister was introduced with the divisional and district level high government officials and briefed about Rangpur divisional and various development activities and other elated issues.
Terming district administration as a traditional institution, the State Minister said that the district and field level administrations have achieved huge reputation over the decades and can play important role in ensuring good governance and welfare of the people.
The process of preparing a time-befitting policy through conducting reforms in the organisational structures at the field level administrations have been progressing through taking opinions of the field level officials and employees reform activities, she said.
Citing various development activities of the government, she said the government officials should work unitedly with a view to turn Bangladesh into a middle income nation within the stipulated period as envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
