The Interim Government Advisory Council on Thursday has decided that candidates may take the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exam a maximum of three times. The Cabinet Division confirmed this in a subsequent notice.
It stated that under an ordinance and by the authority granted in Section 59 of the “Government Employment Act, 2018,” the Ministry of Public Administration will amend the “Bangladesh Civil Service (Age, Qualification, and Direct Recruitment Exam) Rules, 2014.”
As a result, candidates will now be allowed to participate in the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exam a maximum of three times.
The meeting also established that the age limit for applying for government positions will be increased to 32 years.
