Govt fixes prices of chicken, eggs

The interim government has announced the official prices for eggs, Sonali chicken, and broiler chicken at the retail level, with eggs priced at Tk 11.87 each, Sonali chicken at Tk 269.64 per kilogram, and broiler chicken at Tk 179.59 per kilogram.

At the production level, the price of eggs has been set at Tk 10.58 each, while the wholesale price stands at Tk 11.01. For Sonali chicken, the production price has been fixed at Tk 260.78 per kilogram, and the wholesale price at Tk 264.57.

The price of broiler chicken at the production level is Tk 168.91 per
kilogram, and at the wholesale level, it is Tk 172.61.

This pricing order, signed by Dr. Mohammad Reajul Huq, Director General of the Department of Livestock, was issued by the Department of Agricultural Marketing after consultations with the Joint Working Group
