The government has officially amended the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Rules 2014 to pave the way for a special BCS examination. A gazette notification reflecting this change was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday night (May 27).
It has been confirmed that the upcoming 48th BCS will be a special edition, with the rule changes made specifically to accommodate it.
Sources within the Ministry of Public Administration stated that the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been directed to organize this special BCS exam to recruit 683 lecturers for the education cadre and 3,030 entry-level doctors for the health cadre. The amendments were enacted as part of this recruitment initiative.
