The government has issued a notification canceling the appointments of six recently appointed members to the Public Service Commission (PSC), according to the Ministry of Public Administration.
The information was confirmed in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Abul Hayat Md. Rafiq on Monday, January 13.
The notification states that the appointments of the following six members to the PSC have been revoked: Professor Dr. Shahnaz Sarker, Md. Munir Hossain, Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. A.F. Jaglul Ahmed, Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Sabbir Ahmed Chowdhury, and Professor Dr. Syeda Shahina Sobhan.
The order, issued with the approval of the President, will take effect immediately.
Previously, the government appointed these six members to the PSC on January 2. Following allegations against them and three other members appointed on January 9, their oath-taking ceremony was postponed on an urgent basis.
