Gold prices surge to new record

Gold prices have risen once again in the local market breaking all previous records in the country.
The price for the 22-carat gold has been increased by Tk3,581 per bhori (11.664 grams), setting the new price at Tk129,900.

This is the highest gold price in the country’s history.
The information was announced in a notification signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Pricing and Monitoring Committee of the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus), on Saturday.

The notification states that the price of gold has increased in the local market.

Considering the overall situation, Bajus has set new gold prices, which will be effective from Sunday.
According to the new prices, a bhori of 22-carat gold is now set at Tk129,902, an increase of Tk3,581.
The price for 21-carat gold has risen by Tk3,418 to Tk124,000 per bhori.

Additionally, the price for 18-carat gold has been increased by Tk2,927, making it Tk106,282 per bhori.
The price for traditional gold has risen by Tk1,563, bringing it to Tk87,013 per bhori.
