Girl, Dubai expat rescued , abductor held in Jhenidah

Police rescued a girl and a Dubai expatriate in separate drive in Sadar upazila and Kaliganj upazila of the district.
An abductor has been arrested on Thursday night.
SI Daud Hossain of Sadar police station said, a girl student Merry Khatun, 14 had been abducted on Thursday evening by a motorbike at around 7-30 pm from Puratan DC court area of the town.
 On information police launched a drive and rescued Merry from Arappur area at 9-00 pm. At the time police had arrested Tushar Hossain , 25 son of Kana Bakkar of Kalikapur area of the town. A case has been filed with sadar police station in this regard.
Earlier, Tusher had been arrested with arms five months back. The SI added.
Similarly, officer in charge (OC) Anwar Hossain of Kaliganj police station said, on Thursday noon at around 12.00 pm a Dubai expat Shaheb Ali, 45 son of Abdul Mannan of Damodarpur village under Klaiganj upazila had been abducted from Nimtala bus stand of the town. They demanded Tk 8 lakh as ransom. On Friday night at around 10-00 pm police rescued the kidnaper from Natopara village area in Jessore Kotwali police station. Nobody was arrested in this connection.
Shaheb Ali had come Bangladesh three months back. He was expected to return in Dubai on coming Sunday.
