Regarding talking about rendering these four songs of Geeta Dutt in her voice, Moumita told this correspondent, “On the 60th anniversary of the musical career of Runa Laila Madam, the pride of Bangladesh’s music, I have covered a song sung many years ago in her voice. I tried to sing the song with some courage. I don’t know how to sing. Maybe one day I will get to know something about singing so much from Runa Madam. Geeta Dutt’s voice is one of the voices of respected female voices outside of Bangladesh attract me most. I like to sing her songs.”
“Of these four songs I rendered at RTV’s studio, three of them were written by my favourite lyricist, Gauri Prasanna Majumder. Two songs were composed by respected Hemanta Mukhopadhyay and the other two songs were composed by respected Nachiketa Ghosh. I tried to sing the songs with heart. In fact, after the telecast, everybody will know how I sang,” Moumita added.
She also said that some of her original songs are going to be released soon. However, she likes to sing in stage shows because she enjoys direct response from the audience there.
