A special garden meeting was held in Sindurpur, Daganbhuiya Upazila, at the initiative of the Feni District Information Office, to protect the rights of children and women.
This awareness meeting was organized on Thursday in Sindurpur area of Ward No. 3 of Daganbhuiya Municipality.
This meeting was held with the participation of local women with the aim of eliminating social ills and developing future generations as good citizens.
This meeting, organized with the aim of creating awareness at the grassroots level of society, discussed in detail the importance of preventing child marriage and women’s education.
The speakers provided important guidelines on what families can do to ensure women’s empowerment and proper mental and physical development of children.
The main objective of this event was to increase awareness at the family level to build a healthy and educated nation. The undeniable role of mothers in establishing child rights and their proper development came to the center of discussion.
The event was presided over by District Information Officer SM Al Amin. In his speech, he highlighted various government facilities and called on everyone to unite to prevent social degradation.
District Food Safety Officer Shamsul Arefin spoke as a guest at the meeting.
He highlighted the importance of safe food and avoiding adulterated food to avoid health risks for children.
In addition, Hosne Ara Kausar, President of Yarpur Women’s Welfare Association, discussed ways to achieve self-reliance for women.
The speakers identified child marriage as a social crime and emphasized the need to build a social movement to prevent it. Local women also participated in the open discussion and expressed their opinions.
