A fund worth of Tk one crore is being set up under the supervision of the religious advisor for the family of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif, who was hacked to death near the court building.
The humanitarian organisation Alhaj Shamsul Haque Foundation is in charge of collecting this fund. Religious advisor Dr AFM Khalid Hossain told reporters about this after visiting the grave of martyred lawyer Saiful Islam Alif and prayed for the salvation of his departed soul in Pantrisha village of Lohagara in Chittagong on Friday (November 29) morning.
The religious advisor is an advisor to the foundation. The religious advisor said that promising young lawyer Saiful Islam Alif could have given a lot to the country and the nation in establishing the rule of law, human rights and justice. But he was brutally murdered. None of those involved in this heinous murder will be spared. Expressing profound condemnation of this brutal murder, he said that the government is firmly determined to provide the maximum punishment for the criminals under the existing law.
