Free medical services provided to 900 patients in Shahzadpur at the initiative of Prof. Dr. M. A. Muhit

Shahzadpur Sirajganj Correspondent: A free medical service camp has been held in Shahzadpur , Sirajganj. The day-long medical service camp was held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the premises of Shahzadpur  Government Model Pilot High School. Professor Dr. M. A. Mohit  Chairman of the Eye Care System and BNP nominated candidate for the paddy sheaf symbol from Sirajganj-6 Shahzadpur  constituency, organized this medical camp at Shahzadpur  Eye and Mother and Child Hospital. At 10 am, Professor Dr. M. A. Mohit  officially inaugurated the free medical service camp. General Secretary  and team leader of the medical camp, Professor Dr. Moniruzzaman Monir, were present at the inaugural ceremony. Among others  former general secretary of Shahzadpur  Upazila BNP Md. Arifuzzaman Arif, former president of Municipal BNP Emdadul Haque Nowshad, former general secretary Haji Ayub Ali, former organizing secretary of Shahjadpur Upazila BNP Md. Rezaul Islam Raja, joint general secretary Abdus Salam, Publicity  and publication affairs secretary and general secretary of Shahzadpur  Press Club Md. Al Amin Hossain were present there.
In the day-long medical camp, doctors specializing in general surgery, ophthalmology, gynecology, pediatrics, ear, nose, throat, orthopedics and cleft lip and palate diseases provided free medical services to the poor and helpless patients of the area. Medical camp coordinator Abdul Momin Bablu said that 900 eye patients were treated in the medical camp and 150 patients were selected for free cataract surgery. Besides, 800 patients have been provided free treatment and free medicines in the medicine, orthopedic, children, ear, nose and throat departments. On the other hand, Smile Train Project Supervisor Mokaram Hossain said that out of 19 cleft lip and palate patients, 10 have been selected and they will be taken to Dhaka for free surgery.
