A fox dragged a one-and-a-half-year-old child from the yard of a house. When the locals started searching for the child, they found him dead in the forest next to the house.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening at Terhasia village in Boulai Union of Kishoreganj Sadar.
It is learned that local grocer Lincoln Miah had Iftar with his family on Wednesday. Later, he went to the shop. In the evening, his one-and-a-half-year-old son Araf came out of his house alone to the yard.
At that time, the fox bit him. At one stage of the search, the neighbors saw the child lying in the nearby forest. They saw a fox nearby. At that time, the fox ran away when people saw it, and the child was rescued.
Victim Araf’s father Lincoln Miah said that, fox bite marks were found on the child’s neck.
The child’s grandfather Lalu Miah said, “My grandson Araf was playing in the yard of the house after Iftar. Suddenly, he was not found. After searching everywhere around the house, the local mosque was miked. At that time, a man saw a fox with a cub in the forest of Khairul Islam, and the fox ran away as soon as he went forward. We all went and saw bite marks on Araf’s neck. Scratches from nails on his chest. When we rescued him and took him to a pharmacy in the village, Araf was declared dead.
