Former health minister Nasim in critical state

Latest New

Former Health Minister and Awami League Presidium Member Mohammed Nasim, is still in a critical condition as his condition showed no sign of improvement, doctors involved in his treatment said it to journalists.
“There has been no improvement in Mohammad Nasim’s health condition; instead it’s turning worse,” said BSMMU Vice Chancellor Kanak Kanti Barua, who is overseeing Nasim’s treatment.
Mohammed Nasim is suffering from a brain stroke for days, during his treatment for COVID-19.
The veteran AL leader, later tested negative for the coronavirus infection, but his health condition is remaining in critical condition, Kanak said.
Nasim’s family are keen to take him abroad through air ambulance for treatment but that will not be possible in his current health condition, according to another member of the medical panel formed for Nasim’s treatment.
Nasim was admitted to the Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in Dhaka’s Shyamoli with a fever on June 1 and later tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Nasim is the son of M Mansur Ali, one of the four national leaders slain inside Dhaka Central Jail in 1975 after the assassination of independence architect Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
