For the past six months the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) has left the development work of the walkway and vehicle parking area along the river in Dhaka’s Sadarghat half-finished, with rods left exposed. As a result, assets worth millions of taka are being damaged, and incidents of construction material theft are occurring daily.
