Readers’ Voice: Flies Vs Tigers: Who are stronger, more fearsome!

block

If we are asked which animal is stronger and more fearsome, everyone would unanimously say, the Royal Bengal Tiger. After all, we hear news almost every year of tigers killing people. But how many people do they actually kill?
There’s no one who isn’t afraid of tigers. No brave man can look into a tiger’s eyes. Even the bravest hunters drop their guns at the roar of a tiger. Many lose consciousness if tiger stands Infront of a person. Tigers are extremely fierce and vengeful. Humans are terrified of tigers. There’s certainly a reason for this fear. If someone mistakenly comes across a tiger, there’s no escape. And if it’s a Royal Bengal Tiger, death is certain.
But what about a fly? It’s so small…
Let’s think about this: how many people does a tiger kill each year compared to a fly? When we see a tiger, we run away, but when we see a fly, we simply swat it away. We all know that flies have six legs. Flies prefer dirty, filthy places. We often see flies sitting on open sewers or garbage. When the flies’ lands on an open sewer, it doesn’t wear sandals or shoes. So, its six legs are covered in faces. And when this fly lands on our food, it doesn’t wash its feet. Moreover, flies vomit on food.
What happens then?
The flies contaminate our food with the faeces on its legs. This is how flies cause us to get diarrhoea. Thousands of children in Bangladesh die of diarrhoea each year, and flies are largely responsible for these deaths. Perhaps many of these children get diarrhoea from eating food contaminated by flies.
So, if we think deeply about it, we can realize that flies are far more dangerous than the Royal Bengal Tiger. Isn’t that, right?
