On 24 December 2021, the local freelancer community Fiverr Bangladesh hosted the ‘Freelancers Biggest Meetup’, an event where freelancers from all over the country joined to learn and discuss the tricks of the trade, as well as engage in future opportunities in the world of freelancing. The event was sponsored by Creative IT Institute and Creative Fabrica.
The keynote speakers of this event were CEO of VISER X Limited and Fiverr Community Leader, Faisal Mustafa; CEO of Instructory and Fiverr Community Leader, Rifat M Huq; CEO of Creative IT Institute, Monir Hossain; Community Manager of Creative Fabrica, Md. Riduwan Molla; QT Academy Founder, Ahosan Uddin Noman; Bangladesh Freelancer Development Society Chairman, Dr. Tanjiba Rahman; Learn With Hasin Hayder’s Founder, Hasin Hayder; IT Editor,Daily Ittefaq Md Mojahidul Islam;DewApples Founder, Kamruzzaman Sishir; Zaman Talk’s author, Golam Kamruzzaman; and ICITP Founder, Sharif Muhammad Shahjahan. Other IT professionals and top local freelancers also had keynote sessions.
‘Freelancers Biggest Meetup’ aimed to help local freelancers learn important tips related to the IT sector and pick up essential skills, as well as meet and greet key names in the Bangladeshi freelancing industry.
During the event, Faisal Mustafa stated that freelancers are important in generating foreign remittance for the country, as well as increasing employment opportunities through entrepreneurship. When discussing the significance of the gathering, Rifat M Huq said that after almost two years over a thousand Bangladeshi freelancers have attended an event of this large of a scale. “Such events should be organized regularly for freelancers,” he added.
Md Mojahidul Islam President of Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum said, “This has been a great event for freelancers, where they have learned about various tips and tricks of the IT sector including freelancing. I think such a freelance event will further advance the freelancing
Fiverr Bangladesh aims to promote freelancing all over the country and is working on providing opportunities to up-and-coming freelancers. Their Facebook group currently has over three million members.
