In a joint operation by RAB, police and army, five youths were arrested with 100 rounds of rifle ammunition from Parnanduali village of Magura. On Thursday afternoon, Magura Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ayub Ali said that a team of army, RAB and police conducted a raid at a house in Parnanduali Munshi Para based on secret information. At that time, accused Md. Babul Akhtar (21), son of Abdul Halim of the village, Md. Mahfuz (21), son of Manju Mollah, Md. Tabein (18), son of Munshi Ashiq Habib, Md. Shakeel (20), son of Rabi Mollah, and Md. Zarif (19), son of ZakariaKabir Kamal, were arrested from a room.
According to the information of the detainees, 100 rounds of (50+50) point 22 (22) rifle bullets were recovered from that room in two plastic boxes.
A case has been filed against the detainees under the Arms Act.
