Five Drug Dealers Arrested with 4 Maunds of Marijuana and Phensedyl in RAB Operation

In a special operation by RAB-11, law enforcers arrested five drug dealers with nearly four maunds of marijuana and 45 bottles of Phensedyl. The arrested individuals are Borhan Uddin (30), Md. Sohel Rana (32), Mahbur Islam Noyon (34), Al Amin (32), and Zakir Hossain (45). They were detained with the drugs during separate operations in Narayanganj and Gazipur on Thursday (December 25). Confirming the matter, RAB-11 Company Commander Lieutenant Commander Naeem-ul-Haq said that around 8:30 am on Thursday, a joint team of RAB-11 CPSO (Narayanganj) and RAB-3 (Tikatuli, Dhaka) conducted an operation in the Chandna Chowrasta area of Gazipur.
At that time, Borhan Uddin, Md. Sohel Rana, Mahbur Islam Noyon, and Mehedi Al Amin were detained. From their possession, RAB seized approximately four maunds (143.5 kg) of marijuana and a truck used to transport the drugs. Later, around 12:30 pm, RAB arrested Zakir Hossain from the Bibi Road area under Narayanganj Sadar Police Station. Forty-five bottles of Phensedyl were recovered from him. He further said that the detainees used to collect marijuana and Phensedyl from border areas and sold them wholesale and retail in different parts of Gazipur and Narayanganj. Legal action against the arrested individuals is underway.
