The Kabi Nazrul Institute is set to release a special album featuring 10 motivational songs by National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
To mark the launch, a large-scale concert will be held on May 30 at Manik Mia Avenue with performances by 10 prominent bands.
The bands participating in the album and concert include Warfaze, Souls, Dalchhut,
Ark, Shironamhin, Different Touch, MNB, Rebel, Black, and F Minor.
In addition to performing 10 featured tracks from the album, the bands will also
present several other rousing songs by
Nazrul, said a press release.
The concert will also include recitations of Nazrul’s poetry and other special segments.
Latiful Islam Shibli, Executive Director of Kazi Nazrul Institute, said, “This album and concert have been part of my agenda since
I took charge. It has also been recognised as a priority initiative under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs’ agenda. As the nation moves toward equality, inspired by the sacrifices of our people, Nazrul’s music has always stood as a guiding force.” The event will begin at 5:00pm and will be free for all attendees.
