A fire broke out at the house of retired railway employee Birendra Nath Roy at Adarshpara in Ward No. 5 of Lalmonirhat Municipality on Tuesday (April 23) at approximately 2:45 am. At that time Birendra Nath along with his wife and one daughter were sleeping. Although no one was injured in this fire, it was not possible to save anything including furniture, clothes and essential papers in the four rooms of the house.
Three units of the fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after hours of efforts.
