A fire broke out at a godown of Pakija Dyeing and Printing Industries factory in Savar. Five units of Savar Fire Service brought the fire under control after an hour of effort.
The fire broke out around 9 am on Monday.
The fire service said that a fire broke out in a godown of the factory due to an electrical short circuit in the morning.
Upon receiving the information, three units of the Savar Fire Service started working to control the fire. Later, as the intensity of the fire increased, three more units of the Savar Tannery Fire Service joined the fire control. The fire was brought under control after an hour of effort by six units of the fire service.
Savar Fire Service Senior Station Officer Md. Nurul Islam said, “It has been initially confirmed that the fire broke out due to an electrical short circuit.
No casualties were reported in the incident. The extent of the damage will be reported after investigation.”
