Financial aid and savings certificates were distributed to the injured participants and families of martyrs of the historic July Uprising in a solemn ceremony held in front of the Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner’s office, A total of 212 ‘Category C’ injured fighters received one-time financial grants of Tk 1 lakh each, while savings certificates worth Tk 10 lakh were handed over to each of the three martyrs’ families. The financial assistance was provided by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs in recognition of their sacrifices.
The event, held on Wednesday at 3:00 PM, was presided over by Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Md. Zahidul Islam Miah and attended by senior officials from the DC office, Civil Surgeon, Additional Superintendent of Police, political leaders, student representatives, members of the media, and families of the injured and martyred.
