#FemiToon exhibition, seminar on ‘Generation Equality Dialogue’ at ULAB

The ULAB Social Welfare Club organised a seminar on ‘Generation Equality Dialogue’ at the university campus recently.
The seminar was delivered by Farah Kabir, National Director of Actionaid Bangladesh, noted actor and director Afzal Hossain, and cartoonist Nasreen Sultana Mitu. The welcome speech and vote of thanks was given by Selima Quader Chowdhury, Advisor to the ULAB Social Welfare Club.
The seminar raised awareness of gender-based violence which persists in Bangladesh, and how to eliminate violence against women. A cordial atmosphere prevailed throughout the seminar, and a question-and-answer session was held with the speakers, university faculty members, students and guests.
Before the seminar an artwork exhibition titled #FemiToon was inaugurated on the campus of ULAB by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza to observe 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women.
Professor Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to the ULAB Board of Trustees, the seminar’s distinguished speakers, students and faculty members were also present at the inaugural ceremony.
