Saif Sporting Club stormed into the final of the Walton Federation Cup Football defeating Chattogram Abahani Limited by 3-0 goals in the first semi final at the country’s prime venue Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.
Saif Sporting Club led the first half 1-0.
Saif Sporting Club’s Uzbek recruit Sirajuddin’s free-kick came on Nigerian Immanuel’s way after touching the ball a Chattogram’s defender and Immanuel made no mistake to put the ball in the net in the 8th minute of the play.
After the interval, Saif Sporting Club’s defender Arifur Rahman entered the Chattogram’s D-box and passed the ball to his Nigerian teammate Keneth and Keneth defeated Chattogram’s goalie in the 72nd minute of the play.
Later, Chattogram Abahani became 10-man squad. Chattogram’s Ivory Coast recruit Charles was awarded two yellow cards in the 76th minute of the match which was converted a red card. Thus Chattogram Abahani Limited had to play with 10 booters.
Charles roughly charged Saif Sporting Club’s Al Amin. Al Amin got injury on his right foot. His right foot was fractured. So, he was sent to hospital by an ambulance.
Yasin Arafat of Saif Sporting Club got a through pass from his teammate in the D-box of Chattogram Abahani and Yasin Arafat’s spectacular shot found the net just at the dying moment.
