Gaibandha Correspondent :
A woman passed away from a snake bite at Kaumaridanga village of Mohimaganj Union in Gobindaganj upazila of the Gaibandha district on Tuesday morning.
Police have identified the deceased as Rimi Khatun, 35, wife of Shahidul Islam of the same village.
According to family sources, Rimi went into the cow shed early in the morning to feed the cattle. And she was bitten on the leg by a venomous snake hiding in the shed. She was seriously injured. Family members rushed to the scene and immediately took her to the Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex. However, the attending doctor declared her dead on arrival. Gobindaganj Thana Officer-in-Charge, Bulbul Islam, confirmed the incident.
