The Chitalmari Upazila Agriculture Extension Department distributed summer seeds and fertilizers free of cost among 90 marginal farmers in a ceremony held at the Upazila Agriculture Extension Office premises on Tuesday morning.
As part of the initiative, 50 farmers received 5 kg of mug pulse seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer, and 5 kg of MOP fertilizer each, while 40 farmers were provided with 1 kg of sesame seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer, and 5 kg of MOP fertilizer.
The event was attended by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tapas Pal, Agriculture Extension Officer Sifat-al-Maruf, Social Service Officer Md. Shohel Parvez, Co-operative Officer Molla Saiful Islam, and Women Affairs Officer Md. Hafizur Rahman.
This initiative aims to support marginal farmers in increasing crop production and ensuring sustainable agricultural growth in the region.
