Farida Khanam has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chattagram, who was earlier attached to the Ministry of Public Administration as Deputy Secretary. This decision was announced in the notification of the field administration-2 branch of the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday (September 9). The order issued in public interest will be effective immediately. The interim government withdrew the District Commissioners (DC) from 25 districts on August 20. New District Commissioner (DC) have been appointed in these districts. Earlier on November 23, 2022, Deputy Secretary of Public Administration Ministry AbulBasar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman was appointed as Chattagram District Commissioner (DC) and District Magistrate. He has been transferred to the post of Director, Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority.
