A mango trader was killed when a speeding truck bound for Khulna lost its control and dashed a mango laden pickup that was out of order and was standing on Dhaka-Khulna Highway at Town-Noapara under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district on Wednesday (on May 15) early in the morning from its behind violently. The deceased mango trader was identified as Shohel Hawladar (40), son of one late Abdur Rahman Hawladar of village Kalikabari under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district.
Mizanur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Katakhali Highway PS in Bagerhat district told, on Wednesday morning (at 6 am) a mango laden pickup was out of order and standing on the Highway. At that time the killer speeding truck bound for Khulna appeared there, lost its control and dashed the standing pickup from its behind violently. As a result, the back of the pickup was badly damaged and the mango trader sited on the back side of the pickup was fatally injured.
