Fakirhat family temple gutted partially

A family temple in Dohazari Paschimpara village under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district was partially gutted at Tuesday night at about 2 am (in the early hours of Wednesday) when it caught fire, according to a delayed report received here. The higher police officers already visited the place occurrence.
It is learnt from the police and the locals that the temple situated in the homestead of one Shyam Adhikari, a marginal trader of vegetables of the village (Dohazari Paschimpara) the fire originated from his wooden dwelling house and spread to the adjacent family temple. On seeing the flame of fire the dwellers and local people rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after a long fighting for 2 hours. In spite of that a portion of the temple was gutted.
On information the police officials visited the place of occurrence in the following morning (Wednesday). The fire affected house owner Shyam Adhikari told, at first the fire caught my wooden dwelling house and sprayed to the adjacent temple. He apprehended, some ones may set the fire to the house out of previous enmity. Md. Rabiul Islam Shamim, Senior Assistant Police Super told, I visited the place of occurrence. The causes behind the fire incident will be find out through the investigation and after the completion of the investigation necessary actions will be taken.
