The BNP expressed disappointment over the Chief Adviser (CA)’s recent address to the nation, criticising the lack of a clear election roadmap.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, speaking at a discussion on Monday, stated that although many had hoped for a clear outline for the upcoming polls, he was disappointed by the address.

“I was hoping that Dr. Yunus, with all his wisdom, would identify the problems and provide a clear plan for the election,” Fakhrul remarked.

He also reiterated that the upcoming election, once reforms are completed, could resolve half of the country’s issues, regardless of whether the BNP comes to power.

He stressed that an election with the people’s mandate would push those seeking to destabilise the country to retreat.

Fakhrul further warned BNP leaders and workers not to distance themselves from the students who played a key role in opposing the Awami League regime.

He emphasised that the party supports the government’s reforms and encourages a people-centric approach moving forward.

Additionally, Fakhrul criticised the government’s handling of the administration and rising commodity prices, urging the government to focus on good governance and market control to bring relief to the public.

He also spoke about the legacy of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani, recalling his patriotic contributions to Bangladesh.
