Liberation War Affairs Adviser Farooq-e-Azam warned on Monday that the fake freedom fighters will be brought to justice through identification.
He issued the warning while briefing media after the third session of the second day of the DCs Conference at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka, reports UNB.
The session was scheduled for the Ministries of Liberation War Affairs and Disaster Management and Relief.
“The deputy commissioners (DCs) have said that freedom fighters are very vocal against fake freedom fighters in districts. The DCs sought directive to bring the fake freedom fighters to justice through identifying them soon.,” he said.
He said Jatiya Muktijoddha Council (Jamuka) will be reformed and the definition of the freedom fighters will also be fixed upon amendments to the relevant law.
