Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, recently visited Banglalink Headquarters and its state-of-the-art Network Management Centre in Dhaka.
During the visit, he highlighted the importance of optimal allocation and parity in sub-1 GHz low-band spectrum to achieve a truly connected and inclusive digital Bangladesh.
He noted that the 700 MHz band plays a critical role in expanding rural coverage, easing network congestion, and ensuring equal opportunities for all operators to provide high-quality connectivity nationwide.
Taiyeb took part in a discussion with Banglalink management on how the telecom operator is advancing inclusive digital progress through AI-driven network modernisation, enhanced connectivity, and financial inclusion initiatives.
Banglalink showcased its ongoing investments in network quality enhancement and the application of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to improve data speeds and overall Quality of Service (QoS). The company also shared updates on its efforts to extend digital and financial services to underserved communities, aligning with the government’s digitalisation goals.
Taiyeb praised Banglalink’s proactive approach to network optimisation and urged continued public-private collaboration to ensure spectrum efficiency, fair competition, and improved user experiences nationwide.
