Fahmida Nabi has sung a new song about rain, titled “Meghla Akash” (Cloudy Sky).
The lyrics, “Meghla akash bhenge pore amar janalay, shomoygulo thomke jeno jay” (“The cloudy sky breaks down at my window, as if time comes to a standstill”), were written by the couple Abdul and Sohana.
Along with composing the melody and arranging the music, Abdul also performed the duet with Fahmida Nabi.
Speaking about the new song, Fahmida Nabi said that the video will be shot in Sylhet at the beginning of next month. Afterward, the song along with its video will be released on YouTube.
Fahmida Nabi stated, “I have sung about rain before. But I liked this song by Abdul and Sohana so much that words cannot express it.
I have never found such a beautiful blend of lyrics and melody in any of my previous rain songs. I am very hopeful and excited about this one.”
The last song released in Fahmida Nabi’s voice was titled “Bondhu Hariye Gel” (“A Friend is Lost”), composed by the late Barna chakraborty.
