FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Pirojpur emerged unbeaten champion in the Azimuddin Bhuiyan Trust 33rd National Sub-Junior (Under-16 Years) Chess Championship that concluded on Sunday at the Chess Federation hall-room of National Sports Council Old Building.
Fahad bagged 6.5 points to clinch the title. This is the second occasion title for Fahad after he became sub-junior champion in 2011.
Subrata Biswas of Mymensing finished runner-up with 5.5 points.
Tanzina Akter Tani of Dhaka city emerged champion in Girls’ section with 5.5 points and Jannatul Ferdous of Ideal Primary School became runner-up with 5 points.
