IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman emerged as champion in the Elegant International Chess Academy Grandmaster Aspirant 2 Chess Tournament that concluded at Elegant International Chess Academy hall-room in the city’s Uttara on Tuesday. IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman earned six points out of nine matches to clinch the title. FM Panesar Vidant of India became runner-up with the same points. IM Fahad and FM Panesar Vidant’s though collected the same points, but their tie was broken by the number of win games of the tie-breaking system. In the tie-breaking system IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman became champion and FM Panesar Vidant became runner-up.
